Survival Sewing with Camp Fashionista
If you’ve always wanted to learn how to sew, then this is the workshop for you! Girls will leave with the confidence and knowledge they need to become successful first-time sewers learning both machine and hand sewing techniques. This two-day class will cover all aspects of machine safety, explanation of machine parts and their functions, threading the machine, and winding the bobbin. Girls will learn troubleshooting techniques, correct pinning, how to measure seam allowance accurately, how to sew a hem, and will learn to make a casing.
March 24th, 2019 & March 31st, 2019 ~ 2:00pm to 6:00pm
*Girls must plan to attend both meetings in a session ~ 3/24/2019 & 3/31/2019
For girls grades 3-12 and adults ~ min 5/max 20
Fee: $199 per participant
*Please Note: Juniors will be prepared to earn the Product Designer Badge. Seniors will earn the Textile Artist Badge.
Included Materials: Textile Artist Badge for Senior Girls and a Fun Patch.
