2018 GSNorCal 11th Annual Meeting

Join us at our eleventh Annual Meeting of Girl Scouts of Northern California (GSNorCal). 

Saturday, April 21st, 2018 ~ 10:00am to 2:55pm

  • 9:00am to 10am - Registration Table Opens - Multi-Purpose Building (sign-in, pick-up name badge and meeting materials)
  • 9:00am to 10:00am AND 3:00pm to 3:30pm - History Museum will be Open
  • 9:30am to 9:55am - Girl Delegates meet at Little House for an Ice-Breaker
  • 10:00am to 2:55pm - Annual Meeting in the Multi-Purpose Building
  • 3:00pm to 3:30pm - An Optional Tour of the new improvements and plans at Bothin

2018 Annual Meeting Goals:

Elect Slate:

  • Board: Officers and Directors-at-Large
  • Board Development Committee (BDC) members

Members:

  • Share ideas and get inspired, about Girl Scouts’ compelling purpose and UNIQUE role in empowering girls to speak out, take action and become leaders in their lives
  • Re-affirm our commitment to girls and review GSNorCal’s progress and challenges towards achieving our Strategic Priorities
  • Have opportunities to ask questions, raise concerns and make suggestions about how best to improve our governance system, and approve, in principle:
    • New approach to elect council delegates who represent membership
    • Guiding principles, objectives and process to approve updates to our bylaws

Voting Members: Include Regional Delegates (girls and adults), 2017-2020 Delegates to the National Council of GSUSA (girls and adults), members of the Board of Directors, Girl Board Participants and members of the BDC. Voting Members (including any elected Voting Alternates*) MUST REGISTER for the Annual Meeting. [Board members (including Board Nominees), BDC members (including BDC Nominees), Girl Board Participants, staff, and other specific pre-determined attendees will be contacted and registered by Chris Casiano.]

*Voting Alternates: Must indicate the non-attending Regional or National Delegate that s/he is filling in for on the 2018 Annual Meeting Registration.

Visitors: Include non-voting alternates and any other council members, age 14 and older.  All are welcome to attend, but due to limited seating capacity (200), first priority is given to voting members.  All visitors MUST REGISTER in advance

What to Wear: Business casual (or Girl Scout uniform) with closed-toe shoes. Dress comfortably in layers. Wear comfortable shoes if you plan to take the tour.

Fees: $15 per participant (covers the materials for the meeting including lunch and will not be reimbursed even if you choose to bring your own bag lunch)

Location: Camp Bothin Youth Center (Multi-Purpose Building)

No refunds except if space is unavailable for voting members or brand new nominees to the board or board development committee.
